Mickie925 is very angry, you won't like her when she's angry.
i’ve decided that I’m no longer taking chances on that GF website.
If they have a phone number, the name of a company, great, i’ll put in my coverletter and resume and swing by, but i am not going to give them the courtesy of leisurely passin me over.
They need to hire me god dangit..I’m through playing nice.

Ten Months of looking and I am no where closer to my goal. It’s frustrating where family just assume that I’m doing something wrong but what more can I do? If I send a resume and cover-letter and they don’t answer back is that my fault? If I call them and they dont’ call back after the numerous times I called them before, is that also my fault?
I had my father-in-law try to attempt me to get a job at whole foods and his tactic was to resort to begging. I don’t feel I need to beg for anything. I am not a charity case, I am not one should feel sorry for and given a job. All of the jobs I’ve applied to, I am MORE than capable of performing. And I can’t attest to other people’s skills, but I know alot of my former employers say that I’m meticulous, I do the job right and better to their expectations. You can’t get more dedication than that, so how can I articulate that to a hiring manager?
I am running out of ideas. Maybe it’s preserverance issue, but with supporting a family, I can’t afford to just wait for anything.
Current search plan right now…
Start on Sunday, look up classifieds, mark favorites. Compose cover letters and adjust resume to suit position.
Monday, Call people you sent resume in (Tues, Wed, Thurs ) last week to check job status. Make plans to go visit companies at job site and talk to hiring managers!! (Preferably before 11am)
Find new positions online via standard local job sites. Send resumes to online ads and company applications.
Tuesday and Wednesday, Repeat as Monday.
Thursday and Friday, Just look up classifieds and mark your favorites to submit resumes and cover letters in, online.
Saturday and Sunday (work on cover letters and resume techniques to improve chances)and prepare for Monday.
Now mind you, this is not meant to be something i have to do all day because I have a family so its getting hectic trying to balance this AND keep up a household, cook, clean, laundry.

I have a 4 year degree, I now owe $45,000 for it and I spent 5 years of my life getting it.
In the 3 years since I graduated, the highest paying job I have been able to land is $26,000 a year (Only 19,800 a year after TAXES are taken out!) as a Retail Store Assistant Manager. I have to work Nights, Weekends, and ALL HOLIDAYS to earn this. It SU_KS. No kidding.
I really fell my degree has done me ZERO good and was a waste of $$$$$.
I have been told MANY times I am “over qualified” because of my degree.
Want to teach?? Forget about it unless you have a TEACHING DEGREE. Another YEAR of college and Another $5,000 that I don’t have.
Almost EVERY job requires a License, Certificate, or 3-5 years of EXPERIENCE to get the job.

Im not making all that bad money but I go through new jobs to much so I am always working my way from the bottom to the top and usually leave right in the middle.
I want a job I enjoy doing and haven’t found it yet!

I’ve decided to keep my current job. While it does not pay enough I love going to work. I think that’s a fair trade seeing how I don’t know anyone else who can say that they not only love thir job but like going to work early just for the heck of it!
