To be honest, this hasn’t really been the first song that pops into my head when I’m having a low moment….its actually been “Going Under” by Evanescence. Sums it up really! lol
How to choose a theme song for myself
How I did it: I'm always listening to this song in my car (and I'm the worst at understanding lyrics... both in the sense that (a) I can't understand what he/she/they are saying or (b) I just don't know the meaning behind it (sometimes). But I understood this song and it fits me. Perfectly.
Resources: Don't matter how rotten you feel
there's a shadow in the morning
splits my head wide
memory keeps me back on my heels
like a cold wind
like a shadow it follows me round
we ride the line between tryst and crime
from the angels i seem a distant cry
but this is how i am and you are
and it's real life
I take a hold - then disappear
look for cover
helicopters circle above
we've worn your stone down to a sphere
you keep growing like a shadow
when the sun's going down
we ride the line between tryst and crime
it seems plain like day as the years go by
that this is how i am and you are
and it's real life

I found a song I like that’s quite positive and upbeat. Its called What you waiting for, by Gwen Stefani.
Every time I feel a bit down I’m going to sing it to myself to get me out of the rut.
I’ll update on how I get on.
Just reading back my last post sounds like I’m sooo depressed! Thats only me part of the time….if you caught me normally i’m ok. Maybe I’ll try listing some more positive songs soon.
Phil Collins – Wish it would rain (my ultimate depressive song)
Pink – Just like a pill (all about my frustration)
Any Evanescence song – especially Going Under, Everybody’s Fool or Call me when you’re sober (amazing lyrics, vocals and guitars)
Queen – The show must go on (to push me through the pain)
Alanis Morissette – So unsexy (doubting myself)
Cheap Trick – I want you to want me (says it all)
