Seems like my goals are not relevant anymore or I just have lost the balance in my life. Changes happens all the time, staying on track of your life is essential for life balance. If life is running faster than you you should stop to think for a while and see where are you.

Sunday morning. I have to keep bringing myself back to the basics: Get enough sleep; meditate/pray; eat good food; exercise… good self care pays dividends and flows into every area of my life. Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.
Today, I’m going to do just that!

This is one of those “once I’m out of school” goals. Attending part time isn’t an option with my program, and the length of my commute makes active transportation impractical. But, soon I will graduate! Plans for then:
1. Volunteer for things I care about. I’ve already picked up five shifts of bike count surveys during the week after exams. Once my head is clear, there are two more organizations I may get in touch with re. ongoing commitment.
2. Hold out sending applications until I hear back from the “dream job” options. Take some time to chill. Maybe go on a trip.
3. Once employed, choose an apartment or condo nearby, so that I can commute on foot or by bike. Try for someplace quiet, near groceries and nature.
4. Make sure that new home has a dishwasher. When I fall behind on dishes, fall behind on tidying and am less likely to cook. And I’m always behind on dishes. Besides, because they are insulated and recycle water, dishwashers are more efficient than handwashing. http://www.treehugger.com/files/2005/08/dishwasher_vs_h.php

This is such a challenge!
I’ve been a sole parent for so long and I guess, I’ve been focusing on surviving, working and parenting & little else.
The years are flying by and I’m realizing that this is no way to live…So it’s time to evaluate and make some changes.

The events of the past 6 months have been one huge roller-coaster ride, and I don’t know that we’re quite done yet. One fascinating insight is that I have been called on at various times during all this to be a caregiver, not a natural state for me. It has not been easy, but I’m hoping I will have soaked in at least a bit of the things to be learned.

out of balace

I have been out of balance for the last week! Not that my life was in balance before, but I had gone into the negative! I was filled with anxiety and couldn’t relax! The gears in my body were spinning high speed! I knew from past experiences that I had better get ahold of myself, because when I get like that, not only am I miserable, but I end up getting sick! So, I slowed down, started taking care of myself, and letting stuff go undone! I started spending time with God again, I called my sister, I got back on fb, and on 43things…all things that I had put aside…all things I NEED to be more balanced! I feel good tonight! More settled and more in balance! Guess this matches the goal of “first things first”!

Life is about doing things you love. Work enables you to do those things. But work should not stop you from doing the things you love.

I have 3 different goals but actually they walk hand to hand.
Balancing your life means you are keeping in track your time and thus feel more happier ‘cause your life is more stable… Plus! Keeping daily appointments with myself helps me to keep those things together.
