So 43 is a nice place. And people on 43 are always eager to prove it with random acts of kindness :)
I received a package from the UK right before Easter, and there was QUITE the haul of candy inside! This package came from knives, who as you can see was veeeerrryyy generous! :) ♥

We picked up the package fairly early in the morning, and headed to the library for coffee. I ordered an Earl Grey tea, because it seemed appropriate to enjoy with my British chocolates ;P My boyfriend was excited to see the Mars Bar. He grew up with them, so we happily split it. It is almost exactly like a Milky Way, but the chocolate is Cadbury, and the caramel is slightly less sweet… but still too sweet :) Better than a Milky Way, though! Wish my mom coulda tried it… I think she would go crazy.
There was also Aero. It seems like these might come in different flavors? Mine was mint. I think Aero outdoes Andie’s Candies, but Andie’s is very comparable – the texture is way different, though! A very cool, unique chocolate. I admittedly ate a piece I dropped on the floor… because it was delicious… don’t judge ;~;
Kinder Bueno, Hazelnut – also amazing! The center was a lot more runny than I expected, but I totally wanna get my hands on more of these! There are two thin bars, and you break sections of it off. Very layered. And German. Germans are awesome.
Crunchie – Very unique texture. Incredibly unique. Would be awesome if the ingredient list included real honey. A bit of a sugar overload. Gets stuck in teeth. Glad for the experience to try it, and would probably buy again. Gotta be in the mood, though!
Toffee Crisp – Embarrassingly my favorite, considering they’re supposed to be like USA Chocs. They’re a lot “lighter” tasting… as in the sugar doesn’t slap you in the face. I thought it was going to be chewy, but it wasn’t. I think it outranks Kinder Bueno simply for its unique quality and outdoing my initial, low expectations :)
In order, by favorite:
- Toffee Crisp
- Kinder Bueno – Hazelnut
- Aero – Minty bubbles
- Mars Bar
- Crunchie
There was also a Milka Easter bunny, which was pretty dang cool, because we don’t have the bunnies here! Unfortunately, I sought out Milka as a sophomore in high school after meeting German exchange students, so I can’t count it :) But it was delicccciiiioooouuusss ❤ and I am very appreciative of ALL the things knives sent.
Boyfriend thought it would be nice to include a picture of myself, since people like to know who they’re sending stuff too. We’re college kids, though, and we were wandering campus early and unshowered…so apologies for the appearance! :)
