I’ve decided that this goal is not progressing like I want it to. So I’m editing the goal to try and complete one UFO (UnFinished Object) a month. I’ve not really taken on any new projects either in the last year and I just think it’s taken a back seat. So I will just focus on one project a month. This should be attainable. 4 years ago

I made a Park-It pillow for Henry. This is a designated spot that he should go to and lay down when we tell him to “Park-it”. Of course this is different from “Night-Night” which means get in the kennel, and “Go Sleep” which means get on the bed and go to sleep. Henry is ok with it, but Loki really likes it. I’ve decided I have to make him one, but it must have Kitty fabric. 4 years ago

I completed three soft-books this weekend and sent them off as a gift. Forgot to take a picture of them, but imagine books made of fabric and you get the idea. 4 years ago

A baby quilt I made for my friend Jennifer who probably gave birth yesterday sometime. I found the pattern in a book, but Kyle chose most of the fabric. 4 years ago

I started this quilt a long time ago and ended up giving it to my mom for her bedroom. This is from a Fons and Porter pattern with my fabric choices. 4 years ago

I made this quilt as a donation to the AIDS Walk of Kansas City this year. It was placed in a silent auction this Saturday at the Party with a Purpose. I had to leave early so I have no idea how much money it made. I designed the block myself. 4 years ago

I finished this just in time for Thanksgiving. It was fun and didn’t take too long. I like these projects in between my quilting to lighten the load. 5 years ago

I finally finished the kitten blankets that I had been working on for a year. They have my parent’s cattery embroidered on them and a fun print on the back. I used the envelope technique to get the blankets finished fast. 5 years ago

I made this quilt with my friends for another friend who is having a baby. We colored pictured on muslin then set the crayons with heat. It is such a cute idea for a baby quilt and a lot of fun to make. You could even use it for a baby shower activity. 5 years ago

This weekend I made my first fabric bowl. It is my Halloween Candy bowl! I learned a lot about the concept of fabric bowls and intend to make more for Christmas gifts. These bowls are hard to get pictures of but here is the best I could get. 5 years ago

I made this as a gift. Kyle took this picture, but I tried to adjust the colors on it. They’re not exactly perfect , but pretty close to the true colors. This is based on on Alex Anderson’s "Later, Alligator" quilt from the book Alex Anderson’s Baby Quilts with Love5 years ago

This week I got a new sewing machine that is going to change my sewing life! Unfortunately I’ve been too sick to even break it out of the box but this weekend watch out. It’s just in time too because I have some projects that I must finish in the next month and I was going to have to rent a machine from a friend to do the quilting. I’m very excited! 6 years ago

I desperately need a new sewing machine. I’ve had my simple Singer for 4 or 5 years now and while it can piece things together well, I am unable to quilt properly. So this weekend we went to the Viking store inside JoAnn’s and looked at a couple of machines in the price range we can afford. I think next weekend I will go back to try sewing on them to see which I like better. I can continue to piece this week, and hold off quilting until I get the new machine. 6 years ago

I finally finished this. It was either my second or third project and although I won’t be using it under my tree, I am still happy that it is done. 6 years ago

I actually finished this project a while back. Unfortunately I gave it to someone who needed it for a raffle and I didn’t get a picture. It was a learning project. 6 years ago

The fabric was really hard to work with, I was using 1/4” seams (instead of the usual 5/8” with apparel construction, and if you don’t think that extra 1/8” makes a difference, you are wrong!), and my machine is just not sophisticated enough to handle the delicate fabric with the small seam. So I bought flower photo clips from Target and I’m sending them to all my girls. I’m going to Ebay the dress form photo clips to see if I can recoup some of the money I spent on the flower clips. Onto the next project though.
P.S. – I will never make Barbie doll clothes…EVER! 7 years ago

I have listed my 2005 projects on my blog to keep them organized so I don’t go crazy. I plan on finishing my sister’s fleece blanket first so that I can send it to her while it is still cold in San Angelo. After that I think next are the bridesmaid photoclips so I can lift that weight from my mind. In actuallity, if I could find the clips somewhere tomorrow, I’d buy them instead of making the dresses. They are harder than I imagined they would be. 7 years ago
