I`ve studied the basics of it for half a year and practiced about 5-6 years or so on my own. I still suck at it, but I think it`s the most beautiful instrument on earth. Mainly because of it`s cristal clear voice…

I have a casio keyboard. It’s really nice and all. I hardly use it and I don’t know why. I really love music played on the piano. Sometimes I’ll hear a song and just get the keyboard and start trying to play it, I’d like to get better though.
i’m like one of the million people who take their piano lessons for granted. where would i be right now if i actually tried?! for sure, real shit, i’m gonna start practicing more often.
This is really leading to being able to play the Chopin Waltz C#m 62-2, but I think it will be fun as its own means as well. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m technically a decent guitarist, so it makes some sense to branch out to get good enough on keys to at least jam along or play a few pieces. To this end I’ve picked up a few books: 1) Randy Newman Anthology, which will help me pick up some shuffle, 2) Tom Waits, Beautiful Maladies, which is really entirely for Johnsburg, Illinois, but probably has some other good stuff to teach me, and 3) Guaraldi’s Charlie Brown Xmas for a quick primer on Jazz chords and voicing. We’ll see.
I started playing in grade twelve and have recently neglected it, as I’ve been focusing on guitar. That and the lack of an actual piano (all I have is a keyboard from the late 80’s – a huge clunker) have contributed to a decrease in skill.
