What will I get rid of this weekend. 14 months ago

One of the things that has helped is getting a clean space that I can work on. I roll a tarp out on my porch, unload a box from “storage” and set to placing things into 3 piles (Store immediately, recycle/donate, or rubbish).

A file box a day for the past month has left my apartment. 14 months ago

A file box a day for the past month has left my apartment. Yes, this means that I have a lot of stuff. I will continue to minimize. It’s all going to a good home. What can be regifted is being regifted. What can be reused is being resused. What can be donated is being donated. What can be recycled is being recycled. What is odd, there isn’t much trash.- So be it.

My goal is to have everything sorted and removed by months end.

    that helped... 2 years ago

moving away from France certainly helped, but now I have to go through everything else!

I sent home one batch of important things, so my two years worth of accumulated stuff is looking much smaller which is a start. Today I’m making a list of books to give away so it won’t all be saved for the last minute.

This weeks goal- a cleaner porch. 2 years ago

By weeks end I will go through the 24 boxes on my porch, and sort them into trash, recycle, donate, and one or two small boxes to keep. I would like to get this done by Wednesday morning, as I have to return a pick-up I borrowed.

This is a way of honoring my stuff. 2 years ago

If I haven’t used it recently, then I am getting rid of it. It would better be used by somebody else. Stuff should be used and cherished, not hoarded. I will eliminate a lot of clutter if I can do this.
