"If I could wake up in a different place, at a different time, could I wake up as a different person?"
How I did it: When i first saw the movie, i really didn't understand it much...maybe cause i watched it alone and was a bit young. But it struck a chord with me! I wanted to understand it better so i read the actual novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk....and boy, ohh boy, that was an eye opener!!
The novel is much more graphic (in terms of its narration; it doesn't contain graphics) than the movie, and i got to understand and feel the angst and the conflict of the protagonist...watching the movie after that was like seeing your feelings on-screen!!
Lessons & tips: To be honest, and i don't expect many people to understand, but this movie/novel has changed my life...it gave me a newfound confidence within myself because i understood that everyone feels the angst of how their life doesn't turn out the way they thought it would, and the frustration of going through the same routine day after day...if it were not for this one, i could not have taken some of the decisions i have taken in my life...i just wouldn't have had the courage to put myself in that 'unsafe' position!
Tip: Read the novel before you see the movie, and you will feel the characters even more.
