Imagine: knowing you have the “right” to buy more fabric. Imagine: not seeing half-done projects staring at you accusingly. Imagine: not feeling like a lame-ass.
If you can’t bear to re-start on something, my advice is to give it away. To a fellow fabric-hound friend, or even package it up with a copy of the directions and drop it off at the Goodwill. It works.

Christmas is only a week away, and I have gotten so much done lately. Here is what I have finished from my list in the last couple of weeks:
1. Charity rail fence quilt for church (lime green/purple/turquoise)—needs binding finished DONE!
2. Raggy Log Cabin Quilt. From a workshop at my guild. Needs finishing. DONE!
5. Christmas table runner. DONE! And then some! I have made 4 two-sided table runners for gifts, and intend to make one more.
I have also made lots of jewelry and food gifts. And my shopping is 97% done. Woohoo! :o)

I am about 18 inches from finishing the binding on my charity quilt. The next couple of charity things are going to be quick and easy, tied quilts. Hopefully I will be able to get a couple done by January.
I also am almost done with my raggy log cabin quilt.
And I finished a table runner the other day that will be a Christmas gift. That wasn’t even on the list. ;o)
I will have pictures soon. :o)

OK, so I am a fabric addict. I’ll admit that.
I have a whole sewing room full of UFO’s—that’s unfinished objects. Here is a partial list:
1. Charity rail fence quilt for church (lime green/purple/turquoise)—needs binding finished
2. Raggy Log Cabin Quilt. From a workshop at my guild. Needs finishing.
3. My mom’s king size autumn colors quilt. Because it’s king size, I am quilting it in two halves. I have one half almost done being quilted, and then I have to sandwich the other half and quilt that half and then I have to put the two halves together and then bind it all. Yep, it’s a bear. It has been a UFO for around 2-3 years. Yikes!
4. Small Christmas hand quilting project.
5. Christmas table runner.
6. Blue and yellow quilt that was a BOM from JoAnn’s in 2000. My first quilt top I ever made. I want to hand quilt it, but I don’t know if that is a realistic expectation.
7. Blue and burgundy quilt for my quilt guild. Needs borders, and then it needs to be quilted and bound.
8. Stack and whack quilt. Kind of a salmon-y red color. Needs to be sandwiched and quilted.
9. Quilt for my living room. Beige, green and salmon-y red color. Blocks are half completed.
10. Black and fossil fern stars from a swap. Need to be assembled into a top.
11. Purple background giant dahlia. Needs to be sandwiched and quilted.
12. Orange giant dahlia. Needs to be appliqued to the background and then sandwiched and quilted.
13. Quilt with my hand-dyed fabrics on black fabric. Center medallion needs to be appliqued down and then I have to figure out what to do for the borders.
14. Red, white, and blue wallhanging. I think I lost some pieces to it when we moved, so I have to figure out what to do about this.
There are probably more hiding in the sewing room. This has made me feel guilty enough. :oP

Wow…I have more projects than I do time. I too made the New Years’ resolution to not start any new projects until I finish the old ones! They will take me at least the rest of this year anyway…(hopefully not 10!)
Unfortunately we’re only 1/2 way through January, and I’ve already had to sneak in an extra project. But we’ll try again!
