create an art studio

One of the most beautiful art studios that I’ve ever seen was at the Scarab Club in Detroit, Michigan. I forget the artist’s name, but he was apparently one of the long-time artist members of the club. It was cozy, organized and chaotic at the same time, had good light from outside and there was a little loft perched above a section of the studio. The place looked good enough to live in… Actually now that I think about it, I think the guy did say that he stayed there now and then. The only thing it was missing itself was a WC. At least, there was one down the hall.

I would love to get a proper art studio going and post the results to flickr. Right now my dining table is working quadruple-duty for all the my projects. Anytime I want to switch projects and work on the table, I can’t. It’s really slowing down progress and making me spread the clutter.
