sisters in peace: feminist voices of the left by Hedva Isachar
אחיות לשלום: קולות בשמאל הפמיניסטי\חדווה ישכר
the book is a series of talks with women who were active in the feminist left in Israel during the second intifada. it really gives a lot to think about, regarding our past, the way we should act today and it gives first hand information about some of the interesting things that have been done.
I don’t think it was translated into English, so this is a warm recommendation to those of you here who read Hebrew.

נשים כבני אדם – שולמית אלוני
women as human beings.
This books was published in 1976 and is seems like not much has changed over the years.
There are still no civil marriage, women still suffer from discrimination in work places, the sexual harassment rate is horrifying and so on.
It’s scary to think that so little has changed from what people thought they could change in the past regarding this issue. What does it mean for us?

know touching \ Gili Pliskin
דברים שרציתי לגעת \ גילי פליסקין
It’s not directly about feminism, but it’s feministic and it’s about women, that’s good enough.

It’s almost impossible to read everything about feminism that was printed in Hebrew. I’m happy that there’s so much information available in this subject, but to be realistic, I won’t read all of it. I changed it to “more”, because obviously I still have a lot to learn about it, and I intend to keep doing it.
