I’m 20 and have never moshed. Infact I havn’t been to a concert since I was 16..Is that sad?

How to mosh

How I did it: I went to a rock gig with my friends and obviously at some point people started moshing and i i joined in! I did get kicked in the shin and elbowed in the ribs but it was totally worth it! It's the most energizing experience ever! Lessons & tips: Push your way through. A lot. If you just stand there while your being pushed all over the place, things won't go well! |

How I did it: The most flat out form of stress-relieving. My first "cool" friend, when I was in seventh grade, took me to a sold out Senses Fail concert. so while at a HS dance that my brother got me a guest pass for (since i graduated last year, but a lot of my friends were underclassmen and i wanted to hang out) they played the song Sandstorm… and everyone started moshing. It was awesome! until the teachers tried breaking it up… eventually we started it back up again. We then got them to play another techno song, and sandstorm again, so we could mosh some more… even though, again the teachers tried stopping it…
of course it didn’t work… if you get enough kids to participate, theres not much you can actually do to stop a mosh… and if they’d thrown all the moshers out, that would have left… oh i dunno… 20 people for the dance… so yea, not worth it in the long run XD
Also it was so satisfying… i’d had a lot of built up stress and just losing myself in that pit, punching the football players who’d made my life a semi-hell back in school… man that was great ^^

Lots of fun even though I’ve gotten a little banged up twice out of… ehh… I dunno how many times moshing. Being fat really helps with the not getting injured part. ;o)

I LOVE! going to shows where i can go crazy and mosh. My first time was at a local show, where i knew 1 person, and he knew everyone. So i just kinda went wild, pushed a bunch of preps around, danced weird, and lost my shoes for a good portion of the show (word to the wise.. don’t wear flip flops, unless u dont mind never seeing them again) also i got kicked in the face by a crowd surfer! SURPRISE it was my friend that i’d gone with… all in all DEFINITELY worth doing!!

^ :] awesome, 1st time I did it I got kicked in the face and I counldn’t stop laughing then i kinda got dragged into a moshpit by two guys i know and I kinda was like “nah thanks mate” and ran off lol i wouldn’t ever go in a mosh pit with them… ¬.¬ lol
2nd time I moshed my stupid shoes kept coming off so in the end I ended up moshing with them off :] feet were bruised and bloody aha me and my best friend were moshing with tutu skirts and kitty ears also randomly raving with glowsticks lmao

Worth It!

Definetly worth doing,, if you don’t mind some bruises,, my first mosh pit was at Bullet For My Valentine when i was 13,, i usually go in the pits at every gig,, the most severe injury i had was a black eye and i chipped the bone in my wrist:[ at Alexisonfire but it wasn’t that bad!
Machine Head, Metallica, & As i Lay Dying pits were f*cking amazing!
