buy the entire DVD set of The X-Files

my fiance very unexpectedly bought this for me when i came home one night and was all “they just put out the entire series of the x-files in a boxed set! i can’t wait until i can afford it!”

and, since he’s the sweetest guy ever (and because we were HUGE x-philes in middle school), he knew it was absolutely necessary that we own such a glaring monument to our geekdom. we’re just about finished season four, and the show is just as excellent as i remebered. and it’s great knowing that we even shared the same nerdish fascinations when we were kids. we’re just kind of apprehensive about the last two or three seasons, since we lost interest in the show after the movie came out.

The X-Files was the best TV show ever!!! I’ve watched it right from the beginning, when I was only eight years old, and have remained a fan ever since. I don’t think the show is as popular over here in the UK as it is in the States, and they stopped showing reruns on terrestrial TV a good few years ago. My goal is to own the entire collection on DVD. I can’t say the same about the movie though – I thought it was awful!
