Im not overweight but I have too much baggage on my hips/abs/waist….etc.
Im 5’3..126 lbs and my BF is 30%.

Should you measure your body fat % on a full or empty stomach? 22 months ago

Because that’s like a difference of a whole %. To me it makes sense to measure it on an empty stomach…

Well, anyway, on a full stomach my I’m at 27%, and an empty I’m at 26.04%.

I had my body fat measured not too long before I moved for college and I was at 23% and upset about that. Now that I’ve been at school for 7 months I am at 26.6%!!!! I need to do something about this…now. I am 5’5” and 120 lbs but I guess thats mostly flab

I am a size 10-12 at 5’8”, over 160 pounds, barely in the overweight category of BMI calculations. I just had a complete fitness assesment and found out I’m 19.75% fat. I’m a big girl, and even though I’m fit, I’ve never been anything like skinny. If I had used a measuring tape it would have told be I was like 26% fat. So be sure you know the real value or set health related goals- like running 3 10 minute miles- in addition to this one.

Progress has slowed down even more, but still crawls slowly on. Down to about 38%. Really should pick up this pace, though…

Alright, i met a guy and slacked off of this goal. Last time I checked, my body fat had gone from 23% to 26%. But, I’m back on track. Right now, I’m shooting for the 23% again.

I was at about 35% body fat about a year ago and now I’ve lost 5% body fat along with 11 lbs.
I’ve been doing cardio and lifting weights almost 2-3 times a week for a year now, but it my weight and body fat seems to be the same for awhile now.
I’m hoping to loose another 15% by next year along with 30lbs.



Starting (continuing?) a long journey 3 years ago

Well, I’m currently at about 39.5% body fat. Awful, I know, but it’s a marked improvment from when I started. Back in November, when I started working out again, I was at about 46-47%. Ack! So, slowly but surely, progress is being made.

Alright, my digital bodyfat tester should be here next week. I’ve tweaked my diet yet again and lost another 5lbs. I have no clue what my % is now.
