learn to play an instrument

I have noticed that a lot of people who are musically talented seem to have a lot more going for them. It seems like a good time consumer, you are expanding your brain, and if college doesn’t work, you can always start a band! Plus, how badass does it sound to say that I am a girl who plays the bass.

im obsessed with a say anything song right now and there are three cords that just sound amazing. it makes me want to make music.

I’ve decided to make this a goal. But in what instrument should I put my efforts?

My favorite instruments are the piano and the violin. They are both so beautiful. From what I understand, the violin is a bit easier to learn. I am curious and would like to try it. As for the piano, well, I already have one of those in my household. I took piano lessons for years but never actually learned much. It feels like a waste. No, wait—a failure is what it feels like.

You know what? I think I should go back and conquer this before I jump into playing some other instrument without much dedication. So I guess that’s my decision. Piano it is! Now to go look for some Nightmare Before Christmas sheet music…mwahaha!

I would like to learn to play the Piano, I can play ode to Joy, I used to play “where have all the flowers gone”, and a few others..would like to learn again, I like to play for others and it’s relaxing. Plus one day I would really like to have a large white Grand Piano..

i’ve played piano since i was 5…. :)

I do know how to play keyboard/piano but it’s been about 10 years (or more) since I played. So, to prepare for starting over, I’ve looked all over the internet and finally found the sheet music for the theme to Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain. That’s what I’m going to start with, slowly. Can’t wait!=)

I think that learn to play an insturment will give me a sense of achievement and give me something to occupy my mind, always I have always tried things half ass while at school and I think it is time I porved to myself and oters that I can commit to something and see it though

Although I’m learning the guitar at the moment, I would also like to learn some type of wind instrument (tin whistle and/or recorder) that would lend itself to folk and “ren faire” music. Maybe violin, too, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself…

I’d also like to get a xaphoon. Sounds like a mellow saxophone, but easily portable.
