learn to play bass

Getting a little bitter, I think I figured out one bass riff from Dismemberment Plan’s “The City”

Colin’s been teaching me but I tend to forget it all really quickly. i really want to learn properly though, it’s been an ambition of mine for so many years.

Progress is coming along, although I can only read tabs not notes. I wish I could get the index finger-pick/thumb-slap technique down; its really sounds impressive.

personally i very much prefer the sound of the deep vibrations of a bass guitar than the lead singing guitar.

i just think it’s a cool instrument,
and it sounds pretty =]

Ever since I started to listen to rock music and related genres I’ve wanted to learn to play a musical instrument.
The guy I call my best male friend said that we should go together to bass classes, so now all I have to do is buy a bass.

aaaaand….DONE!

Okay, so my fiance plays guitar and bass really well. Unfortunately there is no bass in the house and I have a million of things that are higher up on the Want to Do list. Between teaching, tattooing, illustrating, millinery, costuming, jewelry and my web-store, not to mention my gorgeous accordians I can barely play, and the dance and spanish lessons, I have to drop this one for a while. Maybe when I retire.

I really want to play a musical instrument and addin to the fact that i am not really good at anything and i don’t even know myself. this would help me alot

bass is the greatest instrument ever!
