This is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. Horses are such beautiful animals, and I’ve loved them since I was very young, but I somehow never had the chance to go horseriding. I’ve always imagined that I would go horseriding with friends, or maybe meet some nice boy who would take me horseriding on a date. Dreams, dreams… It’s not such a big deal, but I like to enjoy the simple things that life has to offer.

This was great i went with my school, as an end of year thing, and it was really great, although the horse trod on my toes!!!!

what more for the horse riding dream

Michelle and I went on the 28th, and were going to go again on saturday but it was so hot and neither of us wanted to do that to the poor horses, so we went swimming instead, which was a tick for a different goal so it was win win!!

At long last Nicole and I spent the morning of Thursday 28 December horse riding just outside of Melbourne.

It was soo much fun. Amazingly I managed to remember how to trot but i didn’t get my stirrups adjusted to the right length and I really struggled with cantering. And i got to ride the same horse as 3 years ago.

The best bit was although I was a bit sore the next day it was not too bad. 3 years of working out with my personal trainer paying dividends yet again.

It’s just not as much fun going alone – I’m more likely to go if Michelle comes with me. My foot is pretty painful at the moment (heel spur) and to be honest i feel embarrased at the weight I am going riding so have been avoiding going. This ties in with my other things – getting my foot fixed and losing weight!

Alas my plans to go horse riding 2 weeks ago failed as my friend Nicole came down with a migraine. However it is her 30th birthday this coming saturday so we have rescheduled for this coming saturday. hopefully i will still be able to move enough to go out and celebrate her birthday that evening.
