With two test podcasts recorded, its time to step up the material and learn more about making the show sound better, and professional. Hopefully I’ll have guests this week.
How I did it: I honestly cannot remember what program I used but it was wicked easy. Just had to sign up, use the program to record and upload. To be honest, I think its easier now to podcast than ever so you should be able to find a page to make it work.
Lessons & tips: Speak clearly, have a good microphone.
Resources: Microphone.

The idea of a Couch To 5K podcast is brilliant but the music in Robert Ullrey’s is dire, plus the tempi are all wrong for me. I’d quite like to do a version myself but perhaps Post-C>5K podcasts would make more sense.
was Old Twelfth Night and, here in Leierstadt, we have a tradition of the Wassail. Men (still men only, alas) dress in top hat and tails and roam the town, singing the Wassail song, being given drinks at each stop. Through the course of the day this inevitably degenerates into brawling and pissing in flowerbeds but it’s a practice that goes back millennia: a fertility rite.
I dip my toe in that stream – I toasted my pear tree yesterday and poured a libation of Calvados at its roots – but I have no direct contact, except to remember 50 years of seeing the practitioners staggering through the streets. Generally they are older men and, apart from this anomaly, quite respectable.
On Wednesday, I met one of them – once a colleague – who told me about their new Wassail bowl (from which the free drinks are downed – I think the old silver one became a little too dented and was retired to the town museum); he sounded me out as a prospective member.
Topper ‘n’ tails: hell yeah! Vomiting on pavements: no. It’s not for me (I’ll reconsider when they allow women) but I find I want to record this ceremony that weaves its boozy strand through my life.
I have location sound equipment and shall try to make a radio documentary about it.
I want my kids to use PhotoStory3 to show their work through a podcast.
I started my first podcast when I was fifteen, trying to find something new to enjoy. However, I got a bunch of listeners but my equipment was bad… so I gave it up.
I tried again, but felt demotivated after the first two months. The lack of feedback was one of the reasons.
I realise that something I need is a force that stops me being by myself. There’s only so much I can do on my own that will interest people, and I’ve already thought of something I could fill the gap with. Now is just finding someone local who shares the same thoughts.
BlueEyedLasVegan is making slow, but steady, progress.
Just attended the New Media Expo and have decided I’m overdue to launch a podcast.
Produce a podcast. I dont have a radio voice so I’d hire someone to do it for me. But i’d definatley like to project my voice out there and spread some of my own personal propaganda.
