Filed on time, but certainly not by the end of Feb.

is a pretty good indicator that I’m procrastinating on doing my taxes. At least I’m willing to admit it.
Before I wear myself out, let me just get this done with…
Groan.
Update: I still need to get my property tax info out, and complete my state filing. Also some kind of signature form should be getting sent to me from the IRS.
By the end of that frantic session I finally filed my federal taxes; I’ll be getting back $47. I ought to be glad I didn’t inadvertently make Uncle Sam a nice fat interest free loan last year, but all I could think was that it took more than $50 worth of my time to file. The worst was that I did it electronically to save time and right at the very end learned I needed to have my PIN from last year. I had no idea what that PIN might have been. It was hellish (but I got some bills paid while I was at it.)

with 6 hours. I have to leave for work now, so that will be another failure!! Oh man I’m a GREAT BIG FAILURE!! HA HA!!!
Not really a failure, just a slowpoke, which is why I’ll keep setting challenges. I’d like to do the taxes early but I don’t have to. In fact I’m doing alright in a few areas where I haven’t had time to make any entries. So there! :P
I wonder if I’ll be doled out a few more hours later?
I hadn’t even thought about what I was going to do with my taxes until yesterday when a friend mentioned she had used a tax system listed on the IRS.gov website and had received her federal refund 4 days later. I checked out the site this morning and had both my fed and state taxes filed in a half hour. I couldn’t believe it! Now I just have to sit back and wait for my refund to come, no worries or stress about getting my taxes done for the year.

I did it at the last minute in previous years. I don’t want stress in the spring.
