Plant my own version of a Victory Garden: grow my own vegetables and herbs

I also bought more baskets, still need hooks and soil though. Really need to figure out how to maximize available sunlight. Being in a duplex limits the areas I can plant in, and my sunlight is not really enough for fruiting. Thinking about trying mirrors. Hmmm…

I added a couple of dwarf bananas, a miniature grape vine, and some strawberries. Over the summer, the grape, fig, and one banana died. Since the cold weather I’ve lost some of the strawberries.

In the Spring I’ll be receiving some raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries. I’ve got seeds for cantaloupe, lettuce, and cucumbers. There are some left over squash, pea, and watermelon seeds from last year as well. We’ll see if they sprout.

I’ve ordered a couple of apple colonnades, a dwarf pomegranate, a couple of dwarf blueberries, a dwarf fig, and a miniature peach to start off with. Looks like I’m starting with fruit. Maybe I’ll add veggies in the fall. I already have quite a few herbs.
