Located atop Lookout Mountain, just 6 miles from downtown Chattanooga, Rock City is a tourist trap, and since it is close to where I was born, and near where I was raised, it is almost impossible not to bring it to mind when someone asks “What do you want to do?” because “See Rock City” was ubiquitous in Norte Alabama in the 50’s and 60’s on what seemed like every barn roof for miles around. It is sort of cool, in an acrophobia generated sort of rush…but I have been there many times, and I will go again, but it is coming off of the list.
