backpack across europe

My version of backpacking across Europe means a lot of countries, but not every single one from one end to the other. Because let’s be real. I have to work, yo.
I’m thinking Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Austria. That’s pretty much a big circle, and I can always come back over time for the rest :)

It seems like every time I take a step toward this goal, something happens and I have to take two steps back. Its hard for me to believe that money doesn’t bring happiness, because even a little bit would make life so much easier for me. Not a lot. Just some. I’m so ready to see the world- to explore new options of life. But I’m tired of all these silly things hindering me.

I have to get there. I will. If it’s the last thing I do. If it kills me. I will get there.

so i’m in greece, and only have a week until i’m officially ‘backpacking’. i’ve been here about three weeks now and i’m sooooo homesick, i really want to backpack but part of me just wants to go home!!!!!! i don’t know what to do :(

i’ve made plans to just go around for a month, hit up italy, germany, and france. i’m also doing this all by myself so.. i’m a little scared :( any advice??

I want to take my backpack and get a Eurorail pass and see all of Europe. And since I’ve got a few years under my belt, I want to stay in 4 star hotels every night.

One of those things that I am afraid I’ll never do before I die.

I have so many things to focus on while I’m there. And I’m so excited. I have questions about my life that I need to figure out. This isn’t just a trip to see the most beautiful parts of the world. It’s about me. Who am I and what in the world do I honestly and truly want to do with my life. I have a few books I’m taking- workbooks- to help me focus on finding answers. I also have a list of questions I want answered. I can’t seem to find time out here in LA to really pay attention and work on these very, very important questions. So I’m finding that this isn’t just a trip about traveling- I truly am searching for something. It’s a journey for something I can’t even explain yet. I’m not even quite sure what I’m looking for. But I hope I find it.

I’ve gone twice backpacking around Europe. I’ve been to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, England, and Germany. Western Europe is beautiful and can be done on budget. I stayed in hostels, bought groceries at supermarkets, and didn’t buy many tourist things. I never stinged on sights though, since these are important to really taking advantage of your trip.

Yes this still feels like a fantasy, I did this and I did this alone haha, I saw Spain, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, UK London & Scotland, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Czch, Belgium, Austria, & Netherlands and met a ton of cool people by staying in hostels, I mostly used the Eurail and Easyjet to see these countries. It was amazing and worth every dollar, pound, franc, kroner, euro I had :) It’s a beautiful world, and I still want to see Greece, Ireland and Norway one of these days! DO THIS

So now that I’m planning this trip, I’m having a hard time focusing. I can’t seem to realistically tell myself that I can’t see everything. Because I seem to want to see it all.
