I started the trip, but didn’t get all tghe way across, and of course I didn’t nearly see all thew thingsI wanted too. I started in Suffolk England, where I met an old friend. Together we jumped on a train to London with absolutely no plan or itinerary. We saw amazing things in the British Museum and priceless books in the British Library.
We stayed at a hostel, where we met some of the friendliest people ever- several Aussies, a Yank or two and plenty of Brits.
I had a PSP and he had a Nintendo DS, and we would walk around London until we found someone’s unprotected WiFi signal. We’d use the connection to look up places we wanted to go, train fares, and anything else we wanted to know.
We found a train that would take us to the mainland, and we picked Amsterdam as the final destination. We spent several days in Amsterdam, where we of course took advantage of the city’s infamous coffee shops. Met some great people and walked all over an amazing city.
The train ride back left us with almost a full day in Brussels, which I thought was much more exciting than Amsterdam. The architecture was amazing, and the beer was the best I’ve had anywhere. Belgian waffles aren’t so bad either- in fact, I had two: chocolate and strawberry.
The train ride back was pretty uninteresting as we slept most of the way.
I got as far as Amsterdam, but I’ve also seen Cyprus and Germany. I’ve got another year left in England to pick up where I left off.

Im a college student living in an apartment with my best friend. I am working and going to school full time and I have to get away. I am living in the same city I grew up in, right out of Seattle, and I need to leave. Im thinking about the end of summer when the lease is up.

dove1dove is trying to be a positive force in life.
My ambition has depleted a little for this goal because my goals in life are changing. Perhaps I shouldn’t say changing, but developing. I wanted to go to Europe so badly because I had parts of myself and my path I needed to find. And now Some of them have been made clear. I’m ready to go back to school, and I no longer have the desire to be alone while traveling for safety reasons. I still want to go. I’m just not set on seeing the world tomorrow, as I was. I believe I’ll get there. One day.

I actually completely forgot about this website but just decided to take a look at what my old goals were. Well I am going to Europe in May, have plenty of money saved up and have been planning like crazy the last few weeks. I’m so excited I know it will all be worth while!
