finally bought it. I am going to download it this week, and the box/manual should be here in a couple of weeks.

Worth doing!
Well my website is finally up and running! Finally put the photos onto the website using this nifty handy dandy website that hosts them for free and creates pretty professional looking portfolios that can be linked right from your site, so that it doesn’t look like you have opened up snapfish or something similar. I can’t wait until someone sends me a comment via my website!
that are a single page, and you scroll horizonatlly to see their pieces. It seems to be a very smart way to show your work online, as people want something fast & easy, with little navigation.
This also seems like a doable task for me…if I could clamp down, then I could get it done in a weekend.
I think the real problem is, I am not confident in my work and I hate making effort to present something I am not fully happy with. I feel like I should be working to improve my pieces, not proudly displaying them.
Designer/artist/creative types come two ways usually: those who think they are some creative god, and those who have little confidence in their work. I fall into the latter category and have to remind myself of that whenever I feel ashamed of my design…my perspective is distorted.

Worth doing!
I’ve just cut my personal web site back to 3 pages from around 13. Much better and less cluttered. Here it is!

I’ve finished juliarogers, half way though cathbaldwin, reached a stop with tastequest so I can do some on flickerpic but what?
I STILL REALLY NEED TO DO THIS!!!
I wish there was a free class or something, I’m so web-stupid.

as the korean proverb says, “get started and you are halfway done”.
its all about the night life in manila!!!1 visit it ! ! ! !
I’ve downloaded Nvu, and I’m building it, but I’m having trouble choosing a webhost. I really don’t think I need some of the fancier options, but I do want my own domain name and I’m not unwilling to pay a monthly fee for it (to a point). I only need something that will work with a WYSIWYG program, a certain amount of storage space for my uploads, enough bandwidth, etc. I’m not trying to start a business site, just a sort of collaborative art project that would be a database of pieces done by me and others. Any suggestions for hosts?

poisonpen asks,
“I have a forum with proboards and I would like to add a page to it that is a list, similar to the lists at lists of bests. However, I would like this list to have a skin I can customise to match the design of my layout. Anyone know how i can do this?”

“Which is easier: to use a flash template and upload it to a web hosting site or use the template provided by the host and add the flash features on that template?”
