record my own album

How many tracks I want on this. I’m not sure if I should do simply a few (demo version) or a list (6+). I have TONS of original songs to choose from, but I’m just not sure…still trying to find my sound as well. It’s a journey.

I’m still afraid to do this, even though I really really want to. I’m going to try and push that aside though >.>

But I’ve been too afraid to.

With the upcoming hiatus from programming (yaay), and the increased interest of one of my good friends with jamming, I think we may start setting aside a day a week to work on new material, and to put together an album. We haven’t worked out any of the details yet, but I’m betting we can make it a good balance of traditional songs, material composed be either of us, and co-written stuff. He’s got a fairly good recording set-up, so we can lay tracks down at his place.

It would be awesome to finally get to work on this! We haven’t picked a theme or anything yet, but I’ve got some ideas.

I started writing + recording an EP back in England but got caught up in moving to the US and sold all my equipment :-( There’s a couple of tracks on http://www.myspace.com/iainfoulds that went down pretty well and I’ve got a bunch of time to write and record tracks now, just need to buy a guitar again and find the motivation to finish it off!

I so want to record my own album as I have written a lot of songs that we now sing at my church, I went shoppn last year some time but just didn’t have the finance at that stage, but I still have this desire to go and complete my dream of recording my ablum.
I was wandering if any one had any ideas as I am getting real desparate now and I just want to let my talent out you know, God gave me this gift so I want to share that with others….

well worth it, so many things i learnt about mixing and recording editing and pitch tuning singing writing, it was so fun! defiantly want to do it again more.

I have the ideas, I have all of the equipment I need but I seem to lack the time. I am lucky if I can find some time to play my guitar, let alone set about putting all my ideas to ‘record’. But I really want to do it, not with the aim of ‘making it big’ or anything so grandiose, but for myself.

I’ve recorded with Bands I’ve been in before, or on friends’ albums, but I’ve never written and recorded my own album. I want to make an Album that is entirely of my own devising, and do a run of 150-500 CDs of it (to start).
