I would LOVE to meet Garth! lol 12 months ago

I have loved Garth Brooks music for YEARS! My first Garth Concert was in 1996. I went to St. Louis and sat in the nosebleed section and he was only an inch tall…THROUGH MY BINOCULARS! That was Oct 1996, then I got wind he was coming to a town an hour from me. I went to the venue a few days in advance…got my paper bracelet with the number on it…then the day the tickets went on sale, we all piled inside the venue and they drew a number from a box or whatever…I was devasted…I was 192nd in line(lol seems like so long ago that we actually STOOD IN LINE for tickets, but that was half the fun!) I had brought my moms cell phone with me…at the time it was a big bulky one, lmao…called her and said…get on the phone and try to get through to ticketmaster…you could only call in then and it was a local box office number…no internet sales then. I got in the ticket box office….I was next to go to one of the 4 windows….and they shut down the computers…I almost cried, lol…I remember it like it was yesterday. I was standing there wondering if I would get to see this concert, when a man at the window got pretty mad about waiting to see what was happening that he just LEFT! So here I stand at the ticket window…the nice older woman behind the counter said they were trying to contact Garths people to see if there would be a second show….she had all my info put in the computer and was ready for whenever they came back up…IT WAS A MIRACLE, lol they had put in a second show(and eventually a 3rd) She hit enter and I got 6th row dead center floor seats(Garth gets the first 2 rows and has his “people” go and give the tickets to those in the upper levels as a courtesy and the radio stations get the next 3 for promos or whatever) So, I purchased 6 tickets….for a TOTAL of $105 dollars..unheard of right? I saw a woman all distraught about wanting to see him and I offered to sell her 1 ticket…she bought it…$140 dollars! hehe. So I must say…that cold April night in 1997 when i was just 17 and a senior in high school has to be one of the very best memories of my life…I got to see him about 10-12 feet away at the most…and even got splattered with his sweat…yum lol.

Just Last year…November 5, 2007 to be exact, I got to see Garth again in concert…found a decent ticket on Ebay for $45 dollars and drove myself and only myself 6 hours to Kansas City…in my beat up Saturn(which has since been replaced) and watched the FABULOUS SHOW and drove home…wow..what a show! Hearing him sing “More to a Memory” oh wow! So it is my dream to meet Garth in person…he is such a great person and the best country..hell any type of music singer EVER! Ok there is my story, lol.
