How I did it: I stopped at a place in the arnot mall and got it done. I was with my aunt and we stopped in and asked about it. they just cleaned around my belly button, and then put a clamp to hold the skin. then he slipped the needle hook thing through my skin, and then he put in the belly ring. it has to heal for six months and i have to clean it two to three times a day. A Temporary Piercing

I told myself that if I survived boot camp and AIT, I could get my belly button pierced when I got back. It was supposed to be a thing I did with my best friend Rebecca but she really didn’t want to do it and then she lucked out when the guy told her that she didn’t have the right type of bellybutton anyway and he wouldn’t pierce her. So it was quick and painless and I had a barbell. I guess I didn’t take good enough care of it though and it got infected. Later on it got ripped out during an attack and that was that. Now I just have this small puckered scar above my bellybutton to show where it once was. I’m a chubby momma so it wasn’t that hot looking on me anyway, lol.

i love it, love it, love it. it makes me feel much more confident about my belly. especially in the summer! and it doesn’t hurt a bit, and makes you feel very brave after having it done! haha

i am 13 years old and my mom will only let me pierce my ears once. so i pierced my bellybutton with a saftey pin and it is fine. dont listen to any of the other comments the are full of shit

I got this done november 2006. Virtually painless, just the needle still comes as a surprise. Looks really pretty:) i love it.. WORTH DOING! (make sure the needles are one use ONLY )
