be a father

This is an important goal for me in part because I had a taste of it at one time. A long-ago girlfriend came into my life with an infant daughter. I was not her biological father, but in every other sense I filled those shoes for a number of years.

Those were some amazing times and memories…. I’m even glad (in hindsight) for the middle-of-the-night feedings and yucky diaper changes. The attached picture is she and I playing in the pool.

I still keep in touch with both mother and daughter, albeit infrequently now. In a quintessential rude awakening, yesterday I received an invitation to attend her COLLEGE graduation! How did that happen? To me, just yesterday she was learning to crawl in my living room, and now she’s a college graduate?

I’ve heard that time flies, of course, but I didn’t know that it moves at warp speed.

Being a father may mean many different things, depending on the circumstances. While doing it the obvious way is becoming increasingly less likely (given my age and marital status), perhaps it will take some other form in my case?

In the meantime, maybe I’ll just make do by spending more time with my many nieces and nephews.

when the time is right (in years to come) i want to father children. wont happen for a while… but one day i hope i can put it in my “im done” list… :)

i just love the idea of his son growing together and sharing the magic of transformers, i hope to have a son in the future to experience that with also. activators :D

Well in 1999 Iria entered on my life. Me and Tuxa become parents and Iria got to be the most important person for the two of us. I love you both, Tuxa and Iria.

We completed our son’s adoption in February.

If not to my own kid, then to someone else’s. In time.

I am on track to complete this goal in a few months and will be able to include be a father of twins! I am extremely excited!

My girlfriend and I just broke up, looks like this goal is getting further away rather than closer. Oh well, I guess it will come when its ready – hopefully I’ll will still be young enough to enjoy it fully!

alot of my friends are getting married, it is so strange because we are all really young. The main problem i see with parents these days is that they are so out of touch. They try to be their kids best friend rather than a parent figure. wth i am getting into too much dr phil here =_=
