calypte desperately seeking sparkle
(well, actually, the first step was finding the archive CD with my last CV on it!)
Updated and reactivated my profile on one of the jobs websites, so while I’m trying to get my CV together, at least there’s a small chance of someone picking up my details and contacting me.
Of course, I do rather think I want to start by seeing if I can’t find another position with current employer – it has advantages, and difficulties. It’s a logical start.
The other thing this showed me was just how little I can claim from the last 18+ months of my life – this job is not doing me or my skills set many favours. Still, it does let me add some SQL and very tiny amount of VBA. It’s also brought me back into the finance world. Am increasingly certain that it’s time to move, though – and thus, thank cruel, cruel fate for the shove that stops me mouldering where I am for another three years!
So. Wondering if I’m a bit far on in life to have the education section top of my CV, above employment history – but then, I’m trying to move towards the stuff I’m studying more than what I’ve done, so it isn’t entirely inappropriate?
