    .. tend not to know of the other chinese works on tatics strategy and organization. For centuries chinese authors have pontificated on these subjects relentlessly and quite prolificly.

    The chinese have been warring with each other since the dawn of their civilization. The need for ultimate efficiency and ledgerdemain has been paramount to them since the first sword was drawn in anger. The idea of the feudal state is much older than the “Feudal Era” of japan and europe.
