mytime09 is workin but so goin to church at lunch:)
I need an emergency fund so i never have to use credit cards again.
How I did it: Set up a direct deposit to a separate savings account so that I didn't see the money that was going into savings. Seeing it add up, and knowing what the savings was going towards was very rewarding!

Sooo….I know I wanted to open a savings account I wouldn’t have access to, and decided to open an American Express savings..no minimum and the interest is pretty good 2.00%. This is my first step
every car dealership is telling me i need to put down at least 20% to finance a car…so let the savings begin… 5000 by February
I think what I will be doing is taking turns depositing my paychecks. I live with my parents and don’t have to pay rent so may expenses are limited. I get two paychecks a month if I alternate depositing them between my checking and savings then I want be as tempted to spend the saved money on something frivolous, right?
In the land of when i graduate form nursing school and am rolling in money i will be able to do this.
1 year = $416 a month
1.5 years = $277 a month
2 years = $208 ( $52 a paycheck. this looks possible)
2.5 = $166.66
3 = $138
It should not take me anymore that three years to complete this goal. i am shooting for 2 years. I am excited!!!!!
I was able to complete it by earning more money using google… i actually was able to exceed the goal by 2 times =)
