... I got bored of it really quickly. I liked the idea of book crossing more than the reality. I do pass on books for others to read but don’t feel the need to hear from them. I just let books go…. or sell them.

I’ve been wanting to do this! I keep forgetting, or right now I’m putting it off, because I should be sleeping. Maybe I can find a stack of books to get rid of! That would be so cool!!

I’m the sort of person who gets checked by security every single time. I must look suspicious. Sneaking small parcels into places… Probably not a good idea.
Also, it is not really all that exciting.

I signed up for book crossing over the summer, but so far I have only released one book. I really want to participate more by releasing more books, and maybe going out and trying to find some that have been released in my area.
Bookcrossing, in case you don’t, is a website dedicated to sharing books and following their progress frm reader to reader. It is free to sign up for, and once you do, you are able to label books with a special ID number. then you can pas the book along to friends or “release it” by putting it somewhere in public for someone to find. The hope is that the next reader will go online and report finding the book, share their houghts on it, and then pass the book along to someone else.
You can check it out at www.bookcrossing.com
