be a bartender

I want to do this… for a summer or at least a few months.
I want to do this in a small town, a small College town.

To be more honest, I guess I want to do this in Ann Arbor… If only I could live in Ann Arbor again… :)

If not this then I would not mind working in a coffee shop for a summer either. A mom and pop sought of coffee shop in a small town.

Bar tending has been an obsession for me for a long time. I have not worked out any period or institute for learning as I have not given enough thought to it. But surely within a few years I would be able to learn it and enjoy it.

I don’t want to be a bartender as a career, I do want to see what it feels like to be one…to work in a not so constrained environment

I found out this website. I can enter some ingredients then it will tell me what cocktails I can do. Cool! I think the idea is good…As long as the database is getting bigger, that might be more fun~

....applied for the RSA this saturday. There is a bar next to my friend’s work that is looking for bartenders. Perhaps i can scab a job there =) Though it is in the city and therefore full of impatient arrogant bums o.O

while i’m at university plus it can help me with finding a job overseas in the future. Ugh it’s easy to get a job in bartending without experience here but my problem is travel =/ I really need to get my license first…then my RSA….then i’m set :)

The most experience i have with serving alchohol is when i was a waitress. That hardly counts

because I am good at making drinks

i already paid for the school, now i just need to go.

Most places look for experience, but its hard to get your foot into the door. Is bartending school worth it? What are the chances that I can start working when I’m done?
