I actually started back in around 2000 but I can only say that I really began after going to Japan in 2006 for lessons with Arisue Go, Osada Steve and Kinoko Hajime. I’m STILL learning and, I suspect, my teachers would say the same! You might learn a few knots in a month but it takes a lifetime to master. Shibari is all about how you apply the rope, not just pretty patterns ;-)
I now teach worldwide and have produced the most authentic English language tutorials so far: Japanese Rope Bondage: Tying people not parcels (www.shibari.co) This is my work now: www.esinem.com 12 months ago
