How to learn Shibari.

"Shibari is a beautiful art that's definitely worth learning. When you start getting more advanced you can even start playing with things like Kotori (suspension)."
How I did it: It all started with a boyfriend that was intermediate with Shibari. He got me interested in it and after we broke up i started researching it online. After finding a play partner willing to be bound and gagged i was able to start practicing the skills i'd been learning online.
Lessons & tips: BE SAFE!!!
I kept a knife in my pocket at all times in case something went wrong.
Remember: Its easier to replace your rope, then your partner.

Havn’t been able to do anything like this since I’ve been pregnant, my boyfriend is reluctant. Hopefully I can continue once I give birth and everything settles down.

i have been interested in shibari and rope bondage for around a year now, but have no-one to practise with, i practise on myself, but really need a model to advance. i dont mind traveling anywhere in england as i travel alot with work anyway and buying new rope etc is not an issue, just need a victim lol…

In fact, I’ve ended up doing this;
I’ve moved to Holland since I first posted here too; and this has broken the ties (no pun intended, honest) I had with people who were interested in the UK. Im in Holland, and looking for someone to practise with. As yo u can see, I’ve covered some of the basics with what I have learned so far. I really enjoyed where it’s taken me so far, and would hate to loose the momentum now I’ve moved to Holland.
anyone just happen to be around Eindhoven up for practising sometime?

Well, I have been with the same guy for the past 5 months or so, and we have experimented with different forms of bondage, but a couple days ago I bought some new rope and showed him how to make a harness in Shibari like I had practiced on myself, and I am hoping to be able to learn and experiment more with this now that I have a partner (you can only do so many things on yourself!). I am trying to find a book that is good with Shibari bondage that can be used during sex, and not just for bondage (although I consider this an art form and not a really a sexual thing, it would work well for bondage during sex)

I am a Mistress in Bristol who is fascinated by rope bondage in general and would love to learn Shibari. I know that it has to be taught and I would love it if someone who knows and understands Shibari could come and teach me. I have willing slaves to practice on, but have no clue as to how to start.
Can anyone help???
