follow my favourite band around the country on tour in 2007

I didn’t end up going down south in September, I couldn’t justify the cost this that time around, but they DID end up playing two shows at the Zoo. And then we partied until the break of dawn.

Man, I love this band.

Definitely going to:

• Friday 7th September Forum Theatre, MELBOURNE
• Saturday 8th September Karova Lounge, BALLARAT
• Saturday 22nd September The Zoo, BRISBANE

But what about:

• Thursday 20th September Newcastle Uni, Bar on the Hill, NEWCASTLE
• Friday 21st September Metro, SYDNEY

??? Hahaha… I got the weekdays off work already… just in case. STILL THINKING.

The Melbourne weekend was amazing. Both gigs were fantastic. And hot gossip states that they’ll be doing a headliner (at LEAST all East Coast) closer to the end of the year. Hooray! Time to start saving money…

With all tickets booked (2 x gigs + 2 x flights), the May dates are definitely on! Perhaps when I see them down there I can hassle them about a proper headline tour.

So far the only shows that have been announced have been one-off gigs at O-Week balls (IN ADELAIDE) and Royal Easter Shows (IN SYDNEY) and pretty much everywhere except QLD/Brisbane. I just want another headline tour, guys. Is that too much to ask for.

Maybe I should go down to Melbourne in May for their gig at the Corner…

2007 is looking pretty good from here – The big day out starts in a couple of weeks which should be a blast as always and we are making plans for some more headline shows around the country sometime after that…

Directly from Paul Dempsey’s latest blog (posted on my birthday, oh snap). I had so much fun last year with the couple of shows I trekked around for… I’m so geared up for this year. I hope it happens.
