is our latest book for discussion. I have to approach this with caution. Although E expressed a desire to read this book earlier this summer,he seems to be falling off the wagon. I will succeed in pulling him back in, I just don’t know how yet.
Maybe I will start by spending more time reading with my daughter. He likes to join in on that. I am willing to choose another book but he is all caught up in cars right now. Does anyone know of any quality literature that involves an automobile? My mind is blank. It doesn’t matter what genre, as long as it has a car. E reads on a college level so send whatever comes to mind.

Finished a wonderful story – The tale of Despereaux.

I can recommend it. The story has lots of opportunity for creative reading, with a range of characters.

I’m sorry Shannon (who got me into this goal) wasn’t around 43T any more to see it completed.

Loving it 2 years ago

We are nearing the end of the adventure with Desperaux and he is already asking what the next book will be …

We’re getting through Desperaux & he’s still enjoying it as much as me (well he says he is).

I am thinking that I’d quite like to be a storytelling street performer (after seeing a doco recently).

Thrilled 2 years ago

Yesterday my 4 year-old neighbour popped over & my 10 year old read her a story that I’d read to him a few nights earlier – Mr Squiggles.

He got as much joy reading it to her that I had reading it to him!

I love reading books to my kids.

Thanks Shannon (http://www.43things.com/person/stellar_magnitude) for inspiring me to do more of it after seeing it on your list.

Maybe in my later years I’ll become a professional story book reader!
