BambooSpirit is trying to find at least 43 things I WANT to do in my life!
I should just pick a time & do it—at least the baggy home shorts I’ve already cut out!
I can’t believe I got a new sewing machine when we moved here and I haven’t even used it yet!!!

Dooffodil Life is a shoebox of dooffodils and doosies
As of right now, there are at least two unfinished projects I can think of, though I am quite certain more would surface after rummaging through drawers and shelves.
One of them is a cross-stitch I’ve completed some time ago and had planned on turning it into a neat little bookmark, which should be fairly easy to do. The other’s a stuffed toy I made, and what’s left to do is the embroidery.
It’s time I stitch procrastination up with a pretty bow and send it packing.

I have a large, 30 gallon, plastic bin that contains all of my unfinished sewing projects. I took an inventory of everything in there, and came up with The List:
-2 blackworked Elizabethan shirts
-Marie Antoinette mauve gown
-pink velvet doublet
-black & gold forepart
-burgundy embroidered Regency gown
-blue Elizabethan gown
-Titanic “Swim” gown
-green Elizabethan gown
-teal & black “Du Barry” dress
-lattice smocked detachable sleeves
-pink silk Rococo stays
-brown brocade Rococo stays
-tabs for the gold bodice
-Ashlotte cosplay
-Mina’s red bustle gown
-samurai armour
-Elizabethan shift
-Calamity Jane cosplay
-striped brown Steampunk bodice
-blue taffeta Elizabethan court gown
If you couldn’t tell, I have a love of historical costuming. :D I want to finish up everything on The List by the end of the year so I can start the new year with a fresh, clean project slate. ^^ And so I can go into the new year with some fabulous new garb for SCA and Faires!

Wow that felt good! It was curious picking up the needle and thread again and trying to make nice even stitches, and then after a while it started feeling natural again…and then I got really excited because I realized that I started sewing because of a friend, but I continued sewing because I really, really liked it…
And it just came back to me like the old ‘riding a bicycle’ thing. And in one afternoon, I finished the final seams in a project (they’re a pair of victorian drawers – very cute with lace and pink ribbon :) and ta-daa! I am one step closer to my goal!

Ughhh… I found new fabric that I love so, it looks like I’ve heaped on more sewing projects. It’s a good thing I like sewing!

I’m going to work on a skirt I need to finish today. It shouldn’t take long. Also, I need to sew buttons on ds’ shirt, and fix the waistline of another skirt.
