Have to get into the habit of running the financial software daily. First thing in the morning would be best. But, again, since I keep my computer up, there are things that I was already working on that grabs my attention first. Sigh Maybe a sticky on my laptop screen? I dunno. :/

I have tons of paperwork - some filed, some stacked - of bills, mail, etc. I’ve sorted through and am shredding about 80% of it now. I’m keeping and filing bank statements and credit card statements but, um, why do I still have cable bills from 2001?! The best part about all this is that I’m having a shredding party over here. It feels SO good just to demolish that paper monster keeping me out of my home office. I can just feel tension melting away.
My desk used to be so organized until everyone decided that my desk is the catchall for mail or other paperwork without a home. Not anymore, baby! Yeah!
(back to my party!)
Ok. So I’ve updated Quicken with current accounts info. I’ve signed up for their online bill pay, even tho the one’s at my banks are free. It’s still easier to just pay from one place. That’s about ten bucks a month to make sure my bills are paid ontime. Not bad.
having money to pay bills is not the problem. It’s organizing and paying my bills ontime that’s the challenge. I mean, I can do it. I’ve tried before by setting up financial software and a filing system at home. It’s being consistent with it that’s the problem. I’m thinking I may update my financial system and have it start up when I start my computer. Problem with that is that I rarely close my computer down. Ugh. First things first
