I had a fantastic day today. You know why? .... yes you guessed it… I took my first pilates class. It took a lot of guts but I did it. From the moment I stepped into the studio I wanted to run out but as we went on I felt better. Yes, pilates is extremely difficult but it is something I am in dire need of. My goal is to attend 5 classes of pilates per week preferrably monday to friday. :D

This is top priority on my list now. I HAVE to begin pilates. Tomorrow 8:30am pilates here I come.
The truth is I am so scared to do this. I have the weakest core and I am afraid of feeling too much pain. I know that sounds sissy but it’s the truth. I am so scared but I must do it. It is the only way.

I was very bad today. It was supposed to be my first pilates class and I failed to wake up when my alarm went off. I instead, made it to my Yoga class. The pilates classes at my gym are offered Monday to Friday and I want to take them all. Tomorrow I will attend my first pilates class. To be honest, I’m a little frightened because I am really out of shape and sore. But I have to realize there is a beginning and an end for everything.
twice a week, it’s amazing. I’ve already put in my list that I have to buy a pilates ball to teach my boyfriend some exercises at home.
has two mat classes a week. I tried one this morning, and the instructor seems to be competent, which is not always the case with Pilates classes in gyms. I’m going to try to get to these classes on a reasonablhy regular basis, seeing as they are included in my gym membership. The gym moves to just around the corner from me later this month, so that will make it even easier.
This past Sunday, 11/23, was when I first learned the basics of pilates with 2 hospital patients while I was supervising them. It was an amazing experience. I really felt the powerhouse workin’ there, AND I felt more awake, centered, and relaxed.
I look forward to learning more about this type of workout so as to help with my lower back and neck pains.
I managed to do Pilates on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so that was 4 times in between classes. I also did it again today, and I have bought a theraband for stretching.
I might try and do this a few times. I had a lesson yesterday and did about half an hour today, because the weather was so bad I’ve been inside most of the day. I did roll-downs, arm circles, hip rolls, leg drops, pelvic tilts, oysters and abs, followed by hamstring, glute and calf stretches. I have a day off on Friday, so this is one of the things I can do then.
