Happiness and Bliss, I wouldn’t discribe it any other way. With the right company, little words exchanged. Adventure complete.

Swim in the River with Someone Special 3 months ago

You came in and out of my life quickly. I still remember the times when I held on, longer then I really should have. Each time I called you to tell you random things that really just meant I appreciated you. You never said that right thing, but always did it right.

Did I ever take the time to really understand you? I think the saddest part was I did try to understand you but I did not understand. I think it was worst then physics for me. No matter how much I tried..and no matter how much you tried. We couldn’t connect. I wasn’t sure why. How could two people who have the same interest miss so many times. So it goes, as you would say. Maybe you will forever be a magical character in my life. But, one lazy weekend for you, one great adventure for this princess =).

It is wonderful, I felt like I was in my own habitat (I’m a Pisces, and maybe have been a carp in another life!); add even more delight when u swim a river touching the ocean, like I did. Saltless water and waves, couldn’t be better.

Watch out for the current 18 months ago

It is different from swimming in the sea but watch out for the current. It was in the Ardeche in the South of France. I remember that I was a bit drunk and it was very cold. My friends pulled me out and I was shivering for ages.

France and Ecuador 2 years ago

That’s the two places I remember swimming in a river. In Franc, it was in the Argens, when kayaking. In Ecuador it was in the jungle in Rio Machinaza and the water was a dark rust colour from the organic matter of the jungle.

Although I prefer the sea, salt water on your face, the smell of it!
But of course, the river has beautiful things around it, lots of green to see.

The best river to swim in is one in a jungle or tropical rain forest. You are surrounded by intense nature and can’t help but notice the surreal feeling the whole scenario puts you into. Also, if you do this in a jungle it may be warm while it’s raining, and keep the city far away.

Well Worth It! 3 years ago

I swim in the Sacramento River (California, USA) almost every year. Yes, the water is quick and cold (especially if you swim in early or mid summer), but the water is so clean and clear and soothing. I’ve boated at it’s source up in Redding CA, which is so full of fish. Yes, it may be a bit rocky, but there is very little mud or vegetation swamping the waters (there is some gray water from all the house boats, though). I would strongly encourage any who love mountains, rain, and nature to give it a try.

I've been swimming in the Mississippi River/USA 4 years ago

It’s really big & swift..pretty scary. And it’s muddy/dark. I’d like to swim in a different & smaller & cleaner river some time!
