How I did it: The best way to get a massive DVD collection is to (I hate to be obvious here) rely on sales. You can pick up dozens of discs in box sets, and if there's a sale on you can grab these at a very, very reasonable price. Online shopping is also your friend - get the best price you can and the rest is easy.

Between us, my girlfriend and I have 800 dvd’s in a huge storage box, all cataloged and everything. While we probably actually own well over 1000, it’s only when it’s in the catalog that it actually counts. So 200 more to go.

Just add a bad week end and to improve my mood, just bouth a couple more DVD. So i am at 584 and growing
