I did seven yesterday. Hoping to be at 10 in no time. I am delighted that my bicep tendinitis hasn’t flared up and prevented me from doing this.

How I did it: I'd been to the level where I can do about 10 pushups with my knees on the ground but not getting ahead from there. But then I followed the One Hundred Push-ups program, from http://hundredpushups.com/, and it really helped me and got me going.
Lessons & tips: Find someone to design your workout for you, whatever your goals! A professional regime, whether readymade or customised for you, will really help.

I can’t believe how quickly I’ve improved. I’ve been doing them every other day and they are getting so much easier. I bet I will be up to 10 within a couple weeks :-)
I will keep trying everyday. I’m not talking about with my knees, on the ground, I mean real push-ups.
Current max: eight! I will definitely make a new goal to 100 pushups or something after I’ve completed this one, as the 100 push-ups program works like a charm. It makes me push my limits.

I’m currently following the one hudred push-ups program, http://hundredpushups.com/. It’s inspirational, and also useful for someone like me who doesn’t have much experience in strength training. Who knows, maybe I’ll complete the program and be up to one hundred one day…
...once more. I hope I don’t quit this time. I can do ten with my knees on the ground now, and I’m working my way up from here.

Oh, my gosh! When I was a teen I could do 30 pushups. When I was 30 I could do a 50! Now in my early 40s, having gained more than a few pounds and having let my body go to heck in a handbasket, I am lucky to do 8!! <—Prime candidate for “natural DE-selection”!!
I am doing a master cleanse and then starting a diet/life-change to work on some of my goals, but in order to get strong again I am going to have to push and push some more! My goals will be much higher later on, but for right now I will work on 10 pushups. I am doing as many so-called girl-pushups as I can in the morning and doing my best in regular pushups, twice a day. I think when I reach 10, I’ll break it into sets and work my way up from there. I used sets to get up to higher numbers, long ago. Wish me luck!
