Making progress on it. Plans are now in place to go with Miles and Gillian McKee, to share Christ with Wexford. I’ll either go for the summer in 2010, or go indefinitely in 2011, after I graduate culinary school. If I go summer 2010, that doesn’t rule out the indefinite plans for post-graduation.

How I did it: I've been to Ireland several times, and I always have a great time. I happen to have friends that live over there so it is a great excuse to go visit. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Last year, over the summer, I took a trip to Europe with People to People Student Ambassadors. The trip was 3 weeks long, and a week of that was spent in Ireland. It was the most beautiful country I have ever been to, and the family I stayed with for three of those days was so amazing. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Last minute I decided to book a spontaneous trip. I'd always wanted to travel to Ireland.. it was my dream and finally on July 24th it happened. Not having a detailed itinerary to me was better, because I felt free to do whatever. Ireland's definitely a place to go back to again. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Went on a cruise of the British Isles with my wife's family so they could visit the lands of their ancestors (Scotland, actually, but Ireland was one of the stops). I'm not normally a fan of cruises but this was an excellent way to visit all of the British Isles and cover a lot of ground in a relatively short amount of time: you get to sample each place and find out which are your favorites you'd like to plan a return to. I'd go back in a… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I took Ryanair which was really cheap. It only works within Europe though. My friends picked me up at the airport and I stayed at their house which was great because I got to see them and I saved money by not paying for lodging. Read how I did it…

I think I want to go to Scotland first. That’s where family is from, and I think I’d like to check out my roots…
I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland. The green hills of Ireland are beautiful! I want to rent a place there, and be able to walk by a lake and paddle a small boat to the middle of the lake and just read :)
I’ve always wanted to go. My grandma’s father was Irish (but he was either born in or migrated to Barbados.) He drowned in a gale/hurricane (he was a fisherman) when she was two so she doesn’t remember/know anything about him or where in Ireland he or his family came from. His body was never found and my grandma says her mom refused to talk about him when she was alive. I wish I could find out more about him because that’s such a sad way to go and no one seems to know anything about him. I might have to actually travel to Barbados to search through archives or whatever. Everything I’ve tried to research from here (in the States, on the internet) turns up a dead end.
Either way, it looks like a beautiful country. I love the music, dancing, Celtic jewelry. I’d love to visit sometime soon.
well it to me… is my home… i fucking hate this place im in now… i want to spend my life back in Ireland… my home lol… no one really knows how important it is to me… but it is one of my dreams… and if i dont go back… my heart will never be the same.
I have always wanted to Visit Ireland because I think it is beautiful. I want to see it in person and not just in pictures.
