How I did it: one step (or rung) at a time. one foot after the other. with a 40-pound pack (too much). ate yummy dehydrated stuff. with 4 wonderful friends.

Lessons & tips: pack lots of food. take your time so you can enjoy everything...it's not a race. take money to eat at Monique's!

    What a great hike this is supposed to be. Not as cultural as the walk to Santiago but wild and full of big trees and waves and sunshine and great photo spots.

    An abundance of hike 15 months ago

    There’s something for everybody on this hike: scenery, whales, glorious sunsets, beautiful beaches, mud, rain, shipwrecks, ladders, crappy trail, beautiful trail, surge channels, tides, mud, did I mention mud.

    For maximum enjoyment, be a strong hike and have a strong group.

    I did this in September 2007 for my honeymoon.

    77 KM in 6 days going south to north. The trail lived up to its reputation. It was probably the most difficult, and beautiful, adventure I have ever done.

    I did this with my dad when I was ten and it was amazing. Incredibly gruelling, especially for a 10 year old but it was probably harder on my dad having a 10 year old with him. Some of the most amazing scenery and nicest camping spots. Now I want to go back with my sister and do it with her.

    So, i’ve hiked the first 5km from the bamfield side.
    It was amazing, and i loved it.
    when i got back i told my mom that i wanted to hike the whole thing before i die. I really do.
    Well, i’m 13 now.
    So, i have plenty of time to achive this goal.
    I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL IT FINALLY HAPPENS!
