How I did it: I did many shorter races to get comfortable and build racing skills including a half-aquabike on the same course.
Training is the most important thing. You may be able to go out and do part of the distance without a real base but you need to put in many long hours to be able to count on your body to push through the fatigue.
And then, just believe that you CAN do it and don't let the pain stop you, the goal is worth it. Read how I did it… 2 years ago
