I managed to shake his hand and say a few quick words as he walked past after his panel at NY Comic-Con 2007. Afterwards, my hands wouldn’t stop shaking; I wanted to actually talk to him, but they hustled him out of the room pretty fast. SO AWESOME!!!!

He is the reason that I want to be a comic book writer. I have wanted to meet him for most of my life and he is just amazing to me. He created the X-Men!!! How much cooler do you get than that???

It was just such a sureal moment. I couldnt belive that i was shaking the man who created such great icons like spiderman and the fantastic four. The man made a difference for so many writters and artists. I was just so glad i could meet him.

He’s the reson I read comics today and has created some of the most inovative characters that have ever graced the comic world. There have been some heros and villians since which pish all over the original guys (well some of them cough cough micronaughts cough) but there isn’t one artist or writer that hasn’t attributed his work to this man in some way. Easily the most inspiring person I could ever hope to meet.
