SOOOOOO much fun! My first time on the freeway was on my way back from cali to az and my mom let me drive her convertible mustang :) :) :) it was the most thrilling two hours of my life! :) everyone needs to experience going 90 in a sports car :)
How to drive on the freeway
How I did it: Well, my friend booked her flight up here and nobody else would be able to pick her up but me. So I turned the gps on and got on the freeway. I screamed a lot and my grip on the steering wheel was crazy tight for a while, but you get over it. Especially when you go from a street-highway-freeway, it works out much easier than just jumping on the freeway.
Lessons & tips: Take a highway to the freeway. Make sure to look in all your blind spots. Don't speed.
Resources: Ladybird, gps, and the need.

Yes, I want to do this! Drive on the Frickin FREEWAY and not be a big baby about it. I can do this. YES I CAN:)
I just tried driving on the freeway for the first time tonight, and I’m so glad I did! I chose to first try it at midnight when there were very few cars on the road. Next time I will try it in the evening, and then I will try it at some busier times.
I don’t drive all that often, and mostly use public transit – but there are certain times when you just have to get some place out of the city where the busses don’t run. I’ve been afraid of freeway driving ever since I got my license at 16 – but finally at 22 I am no longer afraid, at least not enough to keep me from getting where I need to go.

I thought it was a great experience for me and I’m glad I handled it well as well as I did and I finally did it! So woo hoo!
I want to be able to drive on the freeways by myself, but I don’t want to repeat the whole driving experience again with my dad. I’ll admit, he’s a good driving trainer, but he’s really strict. A majority of the times, my dad would yell at me if I was doing that was “life threatening”. So, I’m really reluctant to be trained to drive on the freeway, even though it’ll be A LOT shorter process than actual driving was…

It’s scary and kinda dangerous, but you get places quickly which is important sometimes. It’s not so bad if you’re in a decent car that can get up to speed. I tend to avoid the freeway when I can, but I think it’s a necessary evil.
