Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Solena D.Another one done

I have just uploaded my first few photos, and it’s good.
I’ll go on and prepare some more for upload now.

Marking this one “done”! 5 years ago

Solena D.Turns out

I already have one, and for the life of me I can’t remember setting it up. It contains photos I’d received as e-mail attachments ages ago, and it I can’t delete them. Arrrgggghhh

Maybe there is a way to get rid of them and start uploading photos I want, but my internet connection is acting up tonight, so this will have to wait. 5 years ago

Anais Pinn,Photobucket

Whatever happened with Flickr I can’t remember. But meanwhile I tried again with photobucket, and it works. Hope next time I try it I’ll still remember username, password. 7 years ago

I’ve made an account but It’s so difficult to keep the place updated with pictures (like this site…). I think I’m trying a bit more cause its nice for me that friends and family can be updated on my and Oles life. Especially the ones far away. 7 years ago

Anais Pinn,Seems I already did,

Now if I can only get it started. It was taking too long the last time. That must be why it was abandoned. 7 years ago

Anais Pinn,Not sure what I'd put on there anymore.

He had most of the good electronic photos – I just have a pretty lame little palm pilot camera that I rarely use. In a fit of peeve, he claims to have discarded some 900 photos taken over the last year and a half. It’s painful to wonder if he really did. I would have liked to keep some. I didn’t even get see most of them yet. 7 years ago

flickr is simply the best for sharing my photos i can post picture i upload to my blogs note thats more than one blog. it used to be 10mb upload limit every month now its 20mb upload limit for free account i cant actually wait to go for the pro account. having that limit encourages me to go out and take pictures and upload something every month. if i haven’t finish my limit i simply go out again and take more. its really encouraging also to have people comment on your pics. 9 years ago
