be a best man in a wedding

A former roommate of mine is getting married on August 8, 2008 and has asked me to be his best man. It’s a real honour that of all his friends he chose me. I’ll be heading down next Thursday and then the ceremony is on Friday. I’ve been planning out my speech for at the reception and I hope he’ll approve of what I am going to say. Of course once I’ve said it, there’s no taking it back, but I know he trusts me to say the right things.

I was told recently that i am going to be the best man at my friends wedding. im really excited about this except for the fact that i will have to plan the bachelor party about 3-4 months ahead of time (im a procrastinator by heart) because ill be on the appalachian trail. He’s flying me in from wherever i am on the trail and flying me back whenever we are done with the week long party.

My best friend got married over the weekend, and I was his best man. Yes, even though I’m a girl. It was great, it’s crazy that he’s married, and I couldn’t be happier for him and his wife.

It was nice to see my best friend get married and to be involved in the ceremony.
