    Step one:

    Find some power tools

    Step two:

Figure out how to use them

    go easy 2 years ago

First learn what it is you need to do, then research the available tools. Decide if cordless would be bettter, or if it wouldn’t matter. Name brands can be good for quality/warranty but some of them are just more because of it. At the same time, you get what you pay for. :)

being a do it yourselfer 3 years ago

im 15 and love diy, i recomend it to nayone who can do it themselfs or can learn sometihng trying. all you need to do is think, i wish i had a place to keep blank. and then figure out a simple way to do it. dont worry too much about looks at first, focus on functionality. Use alot of clothes hangers at first too, and never be afaid to ask a question and look stupid if the other option is makeing a mistake that will take a few hours of work to fix to learn the same thing in the end. and have fun _

I learned to use my roomba 3 years ago

Just sit on the couch with a whiskey and watch the little one do the job. So relaxing…

POWER TOOLS ARE SOOOOO ..... 3 years ago

Now you can do all those projects yourself. No more relying on others to charge you crazy prices to fix or build things. Impower yourself and be creative.

Every one should learn this powerfull skill, man or woman. Even If you still hire someone to do the job anyway just knowing you could have fixed/built it can be enough.

    so empowering!! 4 years ago

being such a small woman and building a complete whole-wood entertainment center with drawers and shelfs from LUMBER. yes yes, rough planks were the beginning, and it looks like it was bought from a carpenter, i am very proud.
i used the huge table saw, and many other big beasts that i have no idea how you call in English… ;)

Handy, and other people are so impressed when you can wield one of those babies and not hurt anyone! ;-)

    Flash is still pregnant ...

But I still have a ways to go 4 years ago

I have a healthy respect, but not an irrational fear, of fast moving blades and bits. But I still wish someone would show me how to really do it right. Everything I build seems to be a little well… unique in some way. Call it lopsided, call it crooked: I just call it carefully crafted by a somewhat inexperienced woodworker.
