Would be a very useful thing to achieve… I’m supposed to be doing an assignment due in tomorrow :-(

As I consider the old question “If you were on trial for being a Christian, would you be convicted?” I ponder how I would be assessed by the jury. I’m reasonably sure I’d be convicted of being a Catholic, although (like most things) I could be better. But then my thoughts turn to what else I spend enough time on for someone to believe it’s a priority to me. I come up with the following list of life priorities:
Work
Watching Football
Family
Word Games
Cub Scouts
Watching TV/Movies
Facebook/Blogging
Surfing the internet
Playing Ultimate
Reading
Prayer/Church/God
Camping/Hiking
Other (including music, investments, cultural improvement [museums, plays, symphony])
This is how I think I spend my time. Of course there is overlap (I go to Church with the family, I watch football with my wife), but I”m not sure I can be convicted of anything significant. The question is…how do I really want to spend my time? What are my true priorities? I come up with the following:
God/Prayer/Church
Family
Work
Cub Scouts
Reading
Playing Ultimate
Camping/Hiking
Other (Music, Art, Culture)
Watching Football
Facebook/blogging
Word Games
Watching TV/Movies
Surfing the internet
So I’ll experiment with these priorities..I know I’ll fall short of the mark, but maybe I’ll be convicted of something more than being a Panthers and BC fan.
